So instead of going for a cheapy wintec, I have decided to go for a new fitted saddle from barnsby. He has some sore spots on his back from his current saddle so want to be sure the new one fits like a glove!! The saddle fitter is coming out next week and is bringing a selection of saddles with her. The models I am particually intersted in are: schokermole jump, milton pro jump and the series7 vss jump. Anyone tried any of those any any opinions?

I have a Barnsby saddle and it is fantastic. I have the Schockemoehle jump saddle and it fits my guy like a glove. It is really comfortable to ride in and has enough of a forward cut to work with his movement. Having owned this model, I would not consider going to any other company. Who is your saddle fitter?

i have been told a lady called wendy from bristol! really looking foreward to it as his current saddle bridges a bit and i think that its the cause of balance/stiffness and running out issues!

I had a made to measure saddle from them last October and the saddle fitter was called Sally she does for the north west and she was a very nice lady spent lots of time measuring up Stan for his width etc and taking into consideration my little legs and the need for some nice big knee roles. The result is a very nice saddle I love it and it suits both of us very well, it is very well made and the leather was really supple and nice and I have had some really nice long hacks out on it and it is very comfortable so I would really recommend them.

Love our Barnsby saddles :D

They're the only ones that the Dizz accepts (tried so many!). She relaxes nicely in hers.

I tried the Schokermole jump nearly two years ago, but found it too flat and hard for my liking. Lots of people do like them though, so it was just me being weird.

Had their VSD for a year, which D1 loved but I wasn't ecstatic about. The horse liked it though :D

At the end of last year, ended up with effectively a GP, though was looking for a dressage saddle! The one I got just felt right; I felt close to the horse and everything sat in the right spot. I'll happily do dressage in it (bearing in mind that we're at Prelim, on a good day ), and if the Dizz was jumping I'd happily jump in it as well as shorten the stirrups and one's knees are well held without being fixed by the knee rolls :D

We use Bridlepath International and our horses have been fine about being tacked up since swapping to them :D. Tried various other Master Saddlers before them, but nothing ever felt quite right and I ended up with an Albion K2 that just tipped the rider forward (everyone who tried it, so wasn't just me being a numpt).

what im essentially after is a saddle that im not swamped in, my current one is 17.5" and me being only 5ft I find the flaps too long, my current saddle is the jeffries hawk event which I actually really like the quality of but looking for a jumping saddle as I think it will offer more security and the flaps will be shorter! I dont do much dressage to be honest so could easily do dressage in the jump saddle as it will be no more than a walk & trot test anyway!! My horse is a bit of a strong speed freak and has a mean run out when he decides, so looking for something that will give me some anchorage!!!!!!!
