barrel racing- how not to get your horse to go forwards.

There is no way I would ever be attempting to engage physically with anyone, especially to haul them off a horse, I don't think we should be presuming other peoples physical or mental capabilities :p

I have lifted this from chronicle forum
The reason no one went after her was because of 2 reasons. 1. There were multiple horses (of hers) tied in the holdin pen. She was told multiple times to remove them. She did, but when the producers were not looking she put them back. When this specific horse reacted to the dog collar shocking her ALL the horses pulled back. These are simple panels... the woman is also known for extreme violence and there was also a fist fight happening in the background.

The announcer (whom I know), is trying to remind everyone that they are on church grounds and that they don’t handle problems with violence, rather it be with the horse or others. The announcer also demanded the girl to dismount. She would not until police arrived.

What an evil human.

I'd be even less willing to do it in the USA where there's every chance the person you're engaging with might have a gun. Doubly so when she's known for violence.

Keep in mind dragging someone off a horse puts your head at perfect kicking height and I'll put money on her wearing sharp rowel spurs.

Just horrifying and unbelievable! How stupidly ignorant and callous of her. And then to go to the effort of making sure that the horse wears matchy-matchy bandages with her outfit!!!

In the PRCA rules it says that electric shocks can be used so 🤷‍♀️.

Oh I’m not saying that no one does it nor that I agree with it. I’m just saying that any organization that doesn’t want PETA on them like a ton of bricks wouldn’t dare. Including the org I volunteer for. There’s enough controversy with the rodeo and chucks for our org that even a whif of genuine abuse wouldn’t be accepted by the public. I think it’s found more in the US anyway where that happens.

What I’m wondering was where was someone with a lasso or rope that could have been thrown round her to yank her safely off?? Chances are once she left that saddle the horse would have calmed down.

Her being violent or not she needed removed from that horses back. She also needs an animal ban. Disgusting.

Awful. Sickening human being who deserves to be hooked up to a cattle prod for the rest of her life. Why on earth did the officials / person on the tannoy not demand she gets off? I cant hear much of whats said on the tannoy.

Unbelievable that she ignores everyone too, so so terribly sad to think what she does at home.

I have to say, I've seen a lot of horrid stuff go on in the States. Of course, the UK has dreadful stuff I'm sure but stuff they do in the USA purely to try to win is sick, a lot of their rules seem pretty slack too so they can get away with it.

What I dont understand is how ANYONE who has EVER been done for animal abuse / cruelty should be legally allowed to own another animal ever again? What a massive flaw in the system and the only ones to pay for it are the animals in the care of these "people". Honestly, Im so horrified to be part of the human race sometimes.

Yes sorry I was talking about US Rodeos where it does happen quite often!

There are terrible acts of cruelty going on all over the world....but it would seem to me, that America seems to take things to another level with their overwhelming desire to win win win.....Tennessee Walking Horses and all that can go wrong there makes me want to weep.

No worries. I didn’t think it happened here in Canada. I’ve never seen it happen at any rodeos and they only use the lambs wool strap and they’re trained to buck to that. I’ve heard all sorts that they put spikes in it and everything.
