Does anyone know what has happened to Barrie Swain/ semiflex saddles im interested in trialling one for my young horse and cant find any contact details can anyone help please and/or does anyone have a 17" or even a 16.5" dressage saddle of the above make they are looking to sell????????

I bought my 17" semiflex dressage off the British Dressage classifieds site a couple of years ago. It had been sitting in my tack room for a while and I was about to put it up for sale when I tried it on one of my horses - boy what a difference it has made. I'm also using it on one of my other horses too - it is the only saddle she doesn't gritch about having put on.

If you can find one second hand I would definitely recommend you snap it up.

There's a couple second hand on pre loved At the moment, I'm looking for a 17" gp so keeping my eye on what comes up

I have a semi flex. I absolutely love it. I had a dressage seat with working hunter flaps, so not as straight as dressage flaps. Can pop small jump if feeling brave, or hitch up leathers for faster work. A lot of money, but Arab with big shoulder, moves like a dream, leather is lovely quality too. I've seen on specialist saddles, occasionally, second hand, but I got mine through my saddle fitter made to measure.

I have two Barrie Swain saddles that I'm not totally happy with the fit on our mare as one is too wide and the other I feel slightly not wide enough. I love the saddles and she has always gone well in them but I am desperate to find a saddle fitter who deals with these in the Central Scotland area. Sad to say I cannot find any information at all regarding fitters for the BS/KH saddles. Does anyone on here have contact details for Barry Swain or Kay Humphries so I can call them to see if they know anyone in our area. Our mare suffered previously before with a badly fitting saddle and she never did anything to let us know how sore she was and I am so paranoid about her suffering in silence and will only be convinced re the fit of our new to us saddle with a saddle fitter checking her.
