Barry's eye surgery is over!

Was done on Tuesday lunchtime, went to see him last night and was amazed!! He was completely happy and relaxed and didn't seem to be uncomfortable at all! They were very happy with how it went so fingers crossed for uneventful recovery!

soooo impressed with everything, can't thank them enough that we have our beautiful boy back safe, sound and now seeing normally

It was a vitrectomy. Don't know whether they have done one at Leahurst before - Derek got a German surgeon in (the guy who trained the AHT team who have just started doing it). They have got rid of all the floaty bits in the eye so now we just have to wait and hope!

Still looking good as of Friday am - hope to have him home on Monday
