Is that the horse's name or breed?

Doesn't appear to have a mane or forelock - is that peculiar to the breed?

Some of the coat on the body looks curly.

Is this attractive to you or not? I have to say I don't like it much although of course I don't know his temperament or anything, but not an attractive horse to me.

It's the breed. Not for me, personally - but are they the ones that are supposed to be hypoallergenic? Anyone know?

Bashkir Curly I *believe* is an American breed. They do have curly hair and are better for people with allergies. They are for want of a better comparison a labradoodle type! Me and OH have been looking in to getting one as he has allergies. Have to say the two I have met have been fantastic. They had wonderful temperments and lots of ability. I do think they are like marmite though and in this case I LOVE 'em!

I have a friend who has one. They shed the total coat (mane and tail included) twice a year.
Friend searched all over for hers and finally found Fingle in Scotland.
If they are all like Fingle, I would have one tomorrow!
And I like it even more that this one is coloured

My friend in the US has one apparently they derived from the Mustang somewhere along the line. Some of the foals are adorable they look like poodles with tight little curls all over their faces. Some are wavy, some have ringlets and tight curls. Some are poker straight but carry the curly gene. I had never heard of one and of course coveted hers IMMEDIATELY. She said that when she rode him at shows the other horses were "scared" of him almost as if a different species which she said gave her an advantage as he "wound up" the normal horses. Her friends used to tell her to get a proper horse!! She only sold him in the end because he had peculiar gaits, she said he cantered like a deer. Nothing wrong with him but then a lot of American horses have different gaits like the Icelandic ponies too. I would love one but then I would have one of everything if I could.
