And a lot of it!!!

I bought some ariat heritage boots. They were brown. I went to the local tack shop before they arrived and said "I have some brown ariat heritage boots on order, I'd like the chaps to match". She said any of these will match. I chose the ones I wanted and she even showed me an ariat boot in "brown" to show they matched. I didn't look at the colour on the packet. Then because the boots hadn't arrived (ride away grrrr!) I rode in them over the weekend in my old boots.

Cue them arriving and me discovering that brown, is not the brown I have, because I have chocolate.:eek::eek::(

So I can't return the chaps, and if I return the boots then I've wasted about 16 quid in postage before we even start

So please sympathise with me :o cos I am feeling really :(

I am hoping the shop might swap me for some choc boots tho, because they are very nice folk and I did ask several times if this was the right colour.

Annoying, ecspecially when we look forward to something and then it's wrong! I have a great idea tho, another pair of new boots to match the chaps!

Or you could un-pick some of the stitching on the chaps and say they are 'faulty' and get a refund, then order some more in the right colour! X :D

oooh sneaky ;)

that is a pain, ive had that happen with boots for fox before, said they were black on the site, and on the packet but they were very clearly dark blue!

Scandalous ICharles!

I sympathise OP, I bought ariat chaps and some cheap synthetic but quite nice boots in the sale to tide me over, they do not match at all as the chocolate colour of the chaps is rather dark!

I have already had this scandalous thought but then I'd actually need another pair of chaps to match the boots (and I have to say I like both colours enormously!!) which would be ridiculous to save 16 quid postage wastage lol!

I am going there tomorrow so hope they will take pity on me:o

Failing that - ebay!

I think I'm in love with the brown and the chocolate  brown doesn't match my saddle tho!

No I couldn't (cos they might have read this thread) :p

I got the packet for each and went see see see to myself then had to admit one says brown and one says chocolate. Damn ariat and their ridiculous colour names!! Everyone knows chocolate and brown are the same!!!!:o

The choc matches perfectly with my mark Todd work boots (they are jod boots but that's the name!).

And now I've realised Ariat don't do classic III chaps in brown anyway and they are the only ones out of the whole range that fit my flipping legs as I tried them all in the shop
