Daughters dog, Big bad Basil, has a smelly problem.
When he started cocking his leg to wee he really took the position to the extreme. His leg literally points to the sky. It’s quite impressive in a way ?
However it puts all his angles wrong so he pee’s all over himself.
At first I was bathing him, thinking a one off but it’s now every wee. He stinks but is a massive lover of cuddles and laps. I’ve got a pack of baby wipes and wipe his tummy which helps but it’s not doing the job really. He feels a bit damp constantly. I can’t see that daily bathing is much good for him but neither is being covered in urine.
Is this something he may grow out of? ? is it something we can teach or somehow help him not to!

Personal question..is his manhood hairy?
I shave my st poodle with a close shave to avoid any hairs getting pee soaked..plus the inner thighs too are close clipped for the same reason.

If he has leg feathers ,they too can be close trimmed .If he is a v young dog his leg lift will become more refined in time and he may grow out of this problem.

He is a hairy little person yes. We used to trim the, um pointy hair that directed his wee. But now it’s literally just all over his tummy. I could trim the whole lot? His legs I suspect get a bit too. They are very cutely feathery
