Bates caprilli all purpose leather saddle

Hi if anybody has owned one of these or owns one are they a good saddle.

Have owned the GP, the Close Contact & the Dressage models. They are well made, comfortable & the leather is soft & supple. The fit can be adjusted by changing the gullet to make it wider or narrower as the horse changes shape whilst growing or from season to season. The gullet change only takes 5-10 minutes & the only tool needed is a 'Phillps Screwdriver', the gullets cost about £14.95 & range from narrow through several; sizes up to extra wide.

I changed for expensive monoflap mtm to a close contact and an event one. I love them they are great saddles an worth every penny!!

A friend of mine has it and loves it as does her horse - shes not one for loving and looking after her kit either and it doesnt look as worn and battered (though it is structurely sound) as it is.

I loved mine, so comfortable! Awkward horse just isn't fitting it anymore so we're in the process of changing to a Wow. Would recommend them tho!
