Anyone had/got one of these saddles? I would be grateful if you could tell me how you find them. Just considering one for the Beanie. Still have a few issues with her present saddle not being 'quite right'.

I dont like them. The tree profile suits very few horses and the panels tend to be rock hard. Because of the cair panel you also cant fine tune the fit like a flock or flair saddle, so you cannot adjust it for asymmetries, which most horses have. I also think you can get much better quality leather for the money.

Love mine!

I bought the cair momentum for jumping etc in and the caprilli for dressage. Cannot fault them.

You should wait around 10 mins before jumping on or ensure you have the air pockets warm first for them to work quickly

Worth the money as well although you can find a few on ebay if you watch

I too have found several horses that I could not make them fit, in spite of the changeable gullet plates. I don't like the hardness of the Cair system and it caused a sore spot on my horses back right at the end of the panel. I found the fit of the dressage was very different from the fit of the GP, to the extent of having to use different gullet sizes on the same horse. One of the airbags on my GP went down and I was given a refund. The leather on mine was beautiful though. I swapped to WOW's which I like a lot better.

I'm not a fan of them. I have yet to meet a horse they fit properly, and due to the cair they cannot be altered in the same way flocking can. I also find the caprilli GP saddle sits me in a really insecure position, and they are useless if you want to jump any bigger than 2'6", as the cantle is so high it gives you a hugh shove up the ar$e!!!!! My bates GP saddle is known as the no purpose saddle, and is sat gathering dust.

I bought a new saddle recently and every time i asked about cair i was nearly linched! All the saddlers i spoke to were completely anti-cair - so maybe speak to a pro saddler to take some advice as to the pros and cons.

Love mine and had it on my horse for years without any issues (back is checked every 6 months as an MOT with no probs noted to date). I have SJ jumped, XC and hunted in mine with no probs.
