Hi there!

Might be a silly question but worth asking anyways :D I am looking at purchasing a second hand Bates Saddle in the next few weeks (Had an Isabell Werth Saddle back home and miss it to bits & presume the jumping saddles will be as good) and was wondering if there is much difference between the GP and Close Contact model? I should mention that if all goes to plan, that I will be competing at Foxhunters by mid next year.

If anyone knows of any for sale, feel free to PM me.

Thanks :)

If your looking to compete seriously Sjing, I would get the close contact. The GP is not as forward cut, and is deep seated, so won't help you at all. The close contact is quite flat seated, and better cut for jumping :)

I have the close contact and love it. My position is vastly improved. I have the GP on my other mare and when she used to jump I was nowhere nearly as steady in the saddle as I am in the CC
