I need to know if its just me or if anyone else finds this...

Ive got a new Bates GP saddle and I do like, its soooo comfy, but I started ridden canter work with Arch last night and it was bloody horrible!!!! Now I did think it might be Arch, but he has always had to most comfortable canter but I was all over the place and my leg just wouldnt stay still!!
So off I jumped and went and got my Bates close contact jumping saddle and put that on Arch and what a difference!! I could ride again! My leg stayed still and in the correct position.

So is it just me that cant ride in the GP, or do others find it doesnt give you a very secure leg position??

Neadless to say that saddle went on Ebay first thing thismorning!!

Don't know, I found with my wintec GP (which is pretty much the same considering they're made by the same company) that when I first had it my lower leg was like a pendulum. Solved it by nothing more than improving my riding..... I just find that jumping saddles generally do a better job of 'holding' your leg so it feels better. However, for flatwork I HATE this! :o Did a bit of everything in that saddle though including jumping (showjumps & XC) up to 3'3 ish, dressage etc without too many issues...
Just my findings anyway :p
