I'm thinking of trying an Innova saddle as I know people who have them and they love them however I have also heard negative feedback on them, that they are uncomfortable etc- I

One of my horses may need a new saddle- my preference is for Amerigo's however I'm trying to keep open minded and I'm thinking of trying out one of these as they look quite close contact and narrow in the twist and also a plus point is they are adjustable.

If you have one- do you prefer the standard or extended kneeblock? does the block help you keep your position or restrict you? Also do you have flock or the Cair?- if you have the Cair does it really make that much difference .

Many thanks!

Hi,
I used to school a clients horse in one, I personally found the blocks really restricting to my thigh and seat, they had the standard block one. The leather quality was not very good either - it felt more like synthetic. I have an Isabell Werth which I use on youngsters and find that far nicer, it allows you to use your leg & seat correctly but also is good for someone that struggles with position, I use it to teach in if my client only has a GP saddle.

I have a Black Country Eloquence Dressage saddle (The guy who designs & makes them was originally from Albion!) for my Advanced horse and I can honestly say it is the best saddle I have owned and that includes, WoW, Kiefer, Frank Baines & Jaguar but it is personal preference so make sure you try as many as possible and see if your saddler will leave them for at least a week for you to try properly. Good luck with your choice.

Many thanks for the info- that's really interesting especially about the quality of the leather too!- I wondered if it would be restrictive as I too don't like feeling restricted by my saddle!- If my Amerigo that I have at the mo can't be suitably adjusted I will try a whole load of saddles as you have suggested!

Thanks again for replying!
