What are you opinions on the above saddle ?
Sol had the saddle fitter last night and he's bringing the Bates and an Albion ( not sure which one though ) for me to try

The Innova, I feel, is very restrictive on your thigh and seat even the standard block one. I also found the leather to be really hard with an artificial feel even though it is real leather - Just my opinion though!

I tried them both last year. The Innova looked like a dream of a saddle, but it suited neither me or Cass, in fact I found it most uncomfortable and Cass became disunited in canter. I tried the Albion K2 and it was comfortable. At the time it began to rain very heavily and Cass went into the most beautiful collected canter with a fabulous outline which I didnt need to work on, so I bought it. Shame it was the rain 'wot did it'

The Albion didnt work out for us as it kept slipping to the right by a couple of inches and she was again disunited.

These are my personal views though and I know many people with the Innova and Albions who are more than happy. As we are all different shapes and sizes (and our horses), different saddles suit different people. I have long legs and found that my knees came over the panels with the Albion. I also prefer a deep seat.

HT will only have the two for you to try hun. Why dont you try as many dressage saddles as you can so that you have a reasonable idea of what suits Sol and suits you.

I've heard so many mixed reviews on the innova I wondered what people thought ...
Atm she's in a CC jumping saddle , so I'm rather scared about dressage saddle trying

I have both the Bates Isobell Werth and a Sue Carson Harmony. Its the SC I have on Cass and we havnt looked back. When I tried it I felt I had died and gone to heaven. I bought the Isobell Werth from HT for the Shire as he couldnt find anything else to fit him. It has saved a number of peoples lives

It is so comfortable and your bum doesnt leave the saddle.

Who is fitting your Sue Carson? If it's Becky Whitcombe, you wont go wrong, plus you get a freebie lesson from a GP rider

PM me if you prefer. Hx

Am borrowing a liveries SC saddle tomorrow to have a ride in as didn't want to waste someones time if I hated it , as Huw had already checked my original saddle .
I do love them though .. When I sat on one at Badminton I fell in love

If you have not riden in a dressage saddle befor the Innova will probally be to extream. The Isabell is excellent if you are a woman. Men find the narrow seat and high pommel a little uncomfortable so have to go up a size which can mean it is to long on the horse. I have an Isabell on my fun horse for hacking and a little schooling I do fun rides and beach galloping in this saddle. I have the Innova on my dressage horse with extended block it is fab I love it. I have the extended blocks so not meant to do rising trot in it. First week I did and got a few small buises where the blocks hit my leg but they are gone now and when it comes to sitting trot especially extended it is the most ammazing thing I have ever sat in. They look ugly until a rider is in the saddle and the leather does feel cheap because of the bulky knee block but once used and oiled (do not oil the block) it feels much better. Try it a see what you think but it is an extream saddle
