I got given some brand new ( with tags ) korsteel crystal stirrup irons a while ago so I decided to treat my self and got a pair of new Bates stirrup webbers to match my bates saddle and after cleaning my saddle this morning ( baby asleep ) I decided to put them on so all my tack is together.
I cant for the life of me get them on. They seem too thick to go though the hole in the stirrup iron.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you sort it? Havent tried threading string through yet and standing in iron to see if that will work but Im not hopeful. Its really flummoxed me and annoyed me as neither were cheap.
