I accidentally pulled away having unhitched but stupidly left the brake cable attached so it yanked on the brake. The cable has come off so theres just a loop at the end. Where does it go please on the trailer? I cant see where to reattach it! Have searched gor answer online but to no avail

When I did this with an IW there was a metal ring that broke and I needed a new cable
I took it to my local dealer and they fitted it, cost about £15

eta I was left with a loop too which was where the ring went

I have done this TWICE!!!! I bought a new one off Amazon and fitted it using a YouTube video, it's remarkably easy :)

No idea what a Bateson trailer looks like underneath, and sorry if you know this already, but the principle is that it pulls the parking brake on. So if you put your brake on (I never usually use mine) it pulls the attachment part forwards, which might make it easier to see???

Some replacements come with a split ring at the end, others come with a spring clip at each end. Either way, there will be a hole in the base of the handbrake, visible from underneath, possibly with the remains of the old split ring still in place. It's a straight swop. As well as Halfords you can get replacements from Caravan Dealers.
