Im looking for a bateson trailer at the moment, i am thinking of getting one with he boston doors and the small pull out ramp at the back, just wonderd what your opinions were on them, or would you prefer the traditional ramp and if so why??
Thanks

I had this decision when I bought mine. I decided on the traditional ramp. I liked the idea of the doors and mini ramp but I felt that the gap at the top of the doors wasnt enough for ventilation and light. Im not sure why the doors are so much higher than the usual ramp.

I love my Bateson - brilliant trailer. You'll love it! Bateson are also extremely helpful

I had the Deauville with full ramp, didn't like the other style. I sold mine as i needed a lorry, but if i went back to a trailer i would go and buy another Bateson

My Fautras had Boston doors, my new Bateson has full ramp. Personally I still prefer the doors, but they didn't have one with doors in stock when I wanted one so I got the ramp!

I have the Boston Deauville - with the american doors - I love it and my horse loads really well. There's plenty of ventilation -Although they obviously can't see out the back, but some horses prefer that anyway.

The small ramp is really easy to use and most horses will step up straight into the trailer without the ramp anyway.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Thanks for all your replies, went to look at one this morning but not quite what we wanted, so still searching at the moment. Think were definiatly going for the boston
