Just seen the reports on the TV regarding the floods, which have effected the Bath & West Show. The bloody place is floating

Do you know any one that is there?

Hopefully everyone is coping with it, such a shame though as so much effort is put into organising the show and the good old British weather has to put the kibosch on it.

Fortunately the cob workers were on Wednesday before the ground cut up. That ring was a nightmare yesterday, so I can't imagine what it was like today - and there are more classes going on it tomorrow!

i know of someone that has done in hand up there today and in the pics of her in her class she has mud up to her thighs.

It wasnt too bad yesterday, although the rings were quite boggy and some of the tradestands have streams running through them, it did start to dry out in the afternoon.

I believe a lot of people lost their stock on Thursday night though so it must have been pretty horrendous to be there in the middle of the storm.

Only saying what i heard yesterday.

God, it was bad enough last year - in fact it did exactly the same - rain for the first 3 days and then sunny on the last day! Does that mean we're in for the same summer as last year! I hope not.

I was supposed to jump in a couple of showjumping classes but didint go the first day - Wednesday because it rained all day so went up thursday afternoon as the weather was beutiful. Within 10 mins of arriving there was at least 6 cm of rain and the class was cancelled before it started! So of i trekked home again.....

You'll be glad you didn't jump. Saturday the main arena was brown not green and Laura Renwick ended lying in the mud after her horse slipped in the mud.
