Can someone advise on best battery for electric fencing. We are currently using car batteries but both are now almost dead. I am now looking at leisure batteries. The correct one for the job on our Gallagher energiser is this one here (that I don't think I can actually get in southern Ireland so might need to go to the North to get it.

I can also get very easily and cheaper here in the south a Halfords leisure battery - but I am not sure if it is man enough for the job, can anyone please tell me how they think this would compare to the correct Gallagher one in the link, it makes no sense to me whatsoever. ?

Or do you have a better suggestion? The energiser I have is the Gallagher B120 High Powered 12V 70-100MA. It is used for single strand 20mm tape around approx 6 acres at any one time, occasionally more during winter. Usually with strip fencing across that area too. We have always got good readings for the zap using the car batteries, obviously only until the car batteries are defunct as they are now.
I seem to remember using a Halford leisure battery back in the day but cannot for the life of me remember how well it performed or how long it lasted.
Help please good people! ?
