I would love to take part in a battle re-enactment on Jake, lots of people said that he looks like he should have a knight on his back.

Now he is slowly coming sound, I am wondering about this more.

Could anybody advise?

Thanks

I used to be part of a re-enactment group that had horses for the 'live' battles.

Ofcourse there are lots of loud bangs and such from the muskets..I take it your horse wouldnt spook at these?

I'll ask my mum for more information on joining with horses etc.

Scrooge is fab, he looks just like my boy, we should get them together and be the knights in shining armour with silver horses! Is he a perch?

Jake is the only horse I know who likes fireworks and watches the sky for them. I do not think he will be too bothered, but would be miffed at the lack of pretty lights in the sky.

Thanks very much.

Scrooge would go mental on a battle field... he's a big pansy but because he's so big (only 16.2hh but that wide too) it looks cool and dramatic. He's acctually a Brabant/boulanaise and was bred in belgium for meat, some random imported him for unknown reasons and we bought him at a sale.

Oh Ezme he is absolutely gorg! My friends appy was a jousting pony before she got him. It all sounds uber fun but I'm not sure how you would go about getting into it!

Thank goodness you got him instead Ezme!!
If I saw him at a sale, I couldnt resist him either, he is stunning. I like the more generous of bone types.

He is a very lucky lad

You soooo wouldn't! He looked a complete state and was (still is) a complete thug! He knows how big he is unfortunatly and you couple that with being a big scardy pants its quite the leathal combo!

Oh yes I would Ezme, you should have seen my big lad when I got him, he was thin and pinned me to the stable wall more than a couple of times and has kicked me across the stable several times, but I persevered with him. I could see a nice horse under the bitterness.

The big clever ones, know that they are big and clever and take advantage.

Thanks everybody, I will look up these sites and see what happens.
