BBC 2 - Euro Showjumping now - who's watching?

Anyone notice how low the crowd number is? It's literally 20mins away from me and I've not gone (dissertation takes preference but just too frigging expensive!)

yes i know, but the *live* jumping has actually been going on since 1pm. i hadnt read the full thred before i posted - seems i was just agreeing with Puppy and BFG. Was getting bored with all that *dancing stuff* and the yaks blabbering away.

ooo Toms in next. hasnt had the best run of it so far, but then i dont think its a championship horse (in my lowly opinion!)

I noticed and thought that too. But like you I should be doing my dissertation (and job applications) and I can't justify the cost of going

I know i know, twas tongue in cheek. Was just afraid they were going to say yapping and Id miss Tom's round. Disappointing, but then hes made it up the ladder remarkably quickly he hasnt had the equestrian start in life that most international showjumpers have had.
 
Yup, I'd have loved to have gone, but I just can't afford it.

I think they are struggling to attract people.

A friend was given 50 free tickets earlier in the week, and I was sent an email to win tickets for the next three days.

Friend went Weds night and there were only 300 in the crowds- all shops shut early too?

Daughter been there watching all week - Ben did fabulous clear in the first leg Table C comp on Weds night, RHW jumping out of his skin. Apparently was some "interesting" riding, including a fall into the water resulting in a seriously broken bridle.

And daughter just laughed at last comment RE light poles light cups - there was one bounced out 6ins in the Table C class and stayed!

Foreign rider, think one of the smaller countries, riding as an individ. Quite spectacular, horse can certainly shift when it wants to
