BBC...keep switching equestrian Chanel !! Grrrrrr.

I am waiting for it to appear on the red button catch up. Other than that it'll be iplayer I guess but that probably won't be until tomorrow?
It's just ridiculous. How do they expect people to be able to follow it and get involved when they can't even sort out what channels to show events on. I think I will complain. I don't see why they need to switch the channels? Where's the logic?

Well all day i have been at work looking forward to coming homing after my pilates class and catching up with the eventing. Went to watch it and all i seem to have managed to tape was last nights tennis #feelingannoyed

Same here, set to record the eventing dressage and got swimming so missed most of it - then the XC was on a different channel to what it said when I checked last night. Luckily I was off today so managed to watch most of it live but still annoyed at the chopping and changing.

It is very frustrating. Luckily for me hubby was working from home and was able to change the recording channel over for me but we don't get red button here so I came home to watch it on-line instead. I then got his big monitor screen to view on as my laptop keeps crashing if I try to view in full screen!!!

We all need SMART TV's which we can operate via phone/tablet etc with notifications when equestrian sports are on and we can set them to record instantly!!!

If you have sky or similar you can tune in BBC Olympic channels under services other channels. To see how to look on boards.ie under satellite and free to air. It gives you the frequency to tune to and instructions on how to. I'm watching cross country at the moment in Dublin
Should have been a reply to Laura Nash. For Republic of Ireland viewers

Thanks Max123. That looks like what I need, will have a go at tuning into the BBC Olympic channels tomorrow.

Feeling a lot more mellow today after watching the XC on the RTE stream. I was worried because you just get one stream and no choice of sport, but they showed the xc. Good commentary too :)

I don't get Irish television (no signal), I'm watching BBC on freesat.

By Irish television I meant their online content too, which you have said is poor. The BBC understandably have an IP block so that their services are available to licence fee payers as they don't have a remit to provide content for the whole world.

It sounds like you just need to get your freesat working better for you, not blame the BBC! I don't get all the red button channels but that is due to signal issues, which is why I am grateful they put it all online for me instead :).

By way of offering a fair & balanced opinion....Yay, the showjumping was recorded almost perfectly, ending just moments before the medals were being awarded. Thanks BBC!
