BBC radio 4 programme about James Grey ON NOW

Yes, its on listen again for a whole week. I found it very thought provoking and a bit upsetting. Glad it was brought to the attention of the wider public. Very proud of little sis for taking this on and getting the commission from the Beeb as well as making a good programme!

She did a very good job - its a shame she couldnt get a com for an hour as there was a lot more that couldlve been said.

Anyone interested in horses should be listening to this broadcast.

Very well done to your sister.

It was very interesting and agree it would have been great if the broadcast had been longer.

On a personal note for me, one part gave me a particular chill. the silent horses

when i bought my companion horse i was told he was for sale as his owner hadn't bonded with him and although a doddle to handle, had no personality. never heard to whinney or whicker. he lived with a very dominant mare who bullied him in the field and I saw lunge at him over the wall between their stalls. she could reach about 1/3 across his stall.

he started to whicker and whinney at feed time about 48 hrs after i collected him and now brays like a donkey for attention!

can only hope he wasn't in the mental place this suggests

I thought it was a very good programme, hopefully got some valid points across. I totally agree with you about the silent horses, found it chilling.
