To say I will feel slightly inferior compared to those in my section is an understatement
smirk.gif
BUT I just need to get round and complete, then I'll be happy
smile.gif

If anyone is there - Im number 478 in section J, dressaging just before 11am. If you do see me, please tell me that its a really easy course

I just cant believe Im so nervous about it - probably because Its what ive been aiming for for years, and now that we're finally there (well, at least I hope we're capable
crazy.gif
), Im scared stiff!! Just know that I shouldnt be like this otherwise im not going to ride well...

I'll look out for you, assuming that your horse will be a 'Baydale'? I'll be on a little chesnut mare, and lorry is very very yellow - cant miss it
smile.gif

Oooh me too
smile.gif
Section H dressage 12.46 but will already have been on naughty pony for 5 1/2 hourse by the time you go Baydale so please look out for us: we will be the fat, sweaty jockey on the bay with white stripes, four pogo sticks and a tail that goes round and round in circles
wink.gif
Come and say hi both if you aren't too embarrassed to be seen with us

BTW KH1 I know just how you feel but you really will be fine, and you will feel so great once you've done it
smile.gif

How exciting, a mini HHO meet-up! Mine has got a tail that goes round in circles too, but he thinks 5 1/2 minutes is about right for dressage warm-up.
tongue.gif
Shall I bring you some oxygen/water/Magners over?
wink.gif

You're right, the others just don't hit the spot do they?
wink.gif

I'm sj at 1318 and xc at 1358. Feel free to come and point and laugh and marvel at how huge he is like everyone normally does.
frown.gif

Is that the stumpy pony in your siggy? If so it appears that stumpy = bouncy = good, whereas for me lanky = leggy = bad.
frown.gif

Anyway, I doubt I'll miss you if you're walking round with a telescope in your hand.
wink.gif

My son is in section J dressage at 10.44 so will come and say hello (or not if you are nervous) He will be riding a chestnut with a wonky blaze
tongue.gif

Good Luck to you all - I'm dressage writing for Novice though don't know which section yet so will keep an eye out. Doing the intro tomorrow - xc looks fine but SJ looks well up to height or maybe thats just I shouldn't have walked it as normally don't get a chance so never get up close till on board!

I'm in section H too and it looks like I might very well be able to take wookie, look out for me, number 365, someone please give me pointers about the course and what to look out for, its me and mum and mine and pony's second ever novice. We might also be a bit rusty as he has been back in work 4 days due to injury in his shoulder!! see you there
laugh.gif

Brilliant - will look out for you all!!

Applechaff - will most definately see you son then as im only 2 horses after him in the dressage. I also have a chesnut with a blaze.

See you all tomorrow!!

I'm in section H too, 354, 4th to go. I have a feeling I'll be the person with the worst dressage. Ours is not great and we're following a horse that usually gets low 20's.
BCA XC is lovely, (having said that, horse I am riding was eliminated in the Intro there last year). I'm walking the course this afternoon. SJ IMO is up to height with the maximum number of fences allowed, nearly always has a tripple, but the distances are spot on.
Good luck everyone!

ooh Casper, let me know what you find on the XC! im not expecting a great score either, horse has been off for a while. Will look out for you tomorrow, please everyone who sees me and has wlaked the course, pass on your wisdom, this is my 2nd ever novice!!
laugh.gif
Glad the distances SJ are good.
laugh.gif
I'm really excited that my horse is able to go!!
laugh.gif

Lots of H&Hers there tomorrow then!!!
laugh.gif
I'm also section H, dressage at 10.30...its only our 3rd Novice so much the same boat as some if you, but I've heard good things about BCA
smile.gif

Here's hoping the weather stays dry, and goodluck to everyone, might see some of you there - I'll be on the hairy bright bay desperately in need of a clip!!

My, my...isn't section H the popular one! I'm in it too! Will be on a dapple grey with the giraffe print ears who will no doubt be looking highly unamused at having to do test 126 again (4th time of doing it and this is only our 5th Nov!!)
laugh.gif

Nearly turned up there today as completely overlooked the fact that the Nov was on Weds - even more embarrassing was having to ring up and cancel an interview I had also arranged for Weds...talk about 1st impressions!!
blush.gif

Casper_cb - can you be a gem & let us know how the course is looking (and if poss how long it takes to walk as I only have about 50 mins between dr & sj to race round!!)

Hopefully the ground should be pretty good with the rain we have had today. Good luck everyone
wink.gif

So thats 5 of us in section H. Well I will forget everyones numbers, but I will be on a small chestnut with a white stripe, and I will look like a bumble bee on the xc!!!
laugh.gif
Good luck everyone, and reallly hope Casper can update us on the course!

seems like there's going to be at least 3 of us with chesnuts too....and all novices at novice!! My horse looks exactly like yours milz88
grin.gif

im 478 in section J... dressaging at 10.56, SJ at 12.06
smile.gif

whats your number?

Ps - my name is Jenny (always feels strange introducing as the H&H name)
smile.gif

That is very true, when I met kerilli, I said I am emily, well milz88, it felt very odd, so yes....i'm emily.

I have 10.02 DR, and 10:47 sj, so I am arriving early to walk the xc before dr because I just won't fit it in between dr & sj, esp if I want to warm up well!
laugh.gif
I will be there at 8am hopefully. Leaving home at 5ish, so I am just off to plait now!
laugh.gif

I'm 365,

Hi, the ground was holding up well. I walked it in the torrential rain. 1 is a log, 2 a long canter to an inviting flower box. 3 a parrellel shared with the PN, turn left to a double, box type fence to brush, then a jump under a tree, right bend to another box type fence with a big plastic cow to the right of it!! Then a palisade with a ground line, so looks a teeny bit like a ditch, then down a slope, long canter past the Intro and PN the skim the fence, turn left to a corner then keep straight for a skinny, they are numbered seperatly but I think if you're taking the long route you'd have to shout loud over the corner so the JJ knows, then step up to skinny tripple brush, left turn to ski jump, follow fence round over palisade, then over a lovely, convincing myself my horse will be fine, it's FINE, ditch brush, the right turn, gallop up a slope, to a small log pile to a narrow pig arc, back down the slope to the water, which is log, one stride, drop in, splash though log out, then the last!!

It was damp, but ground looked to be holding up fine on the Intro. They'd airated (sp) so the water was draining really well. SJ for the Intro looked up to height, for those who've been there before, dressage warmup is where the SJ ring usually is and the SJ is where the dressage warmup was in the spring event. There are still 2/ 3 arenas v.v. close to the SJ.

Course looked good, It's only my boys 3rd Novice, we did not get very far round WW. Nothing nasty or trappy IMO.

It does not take long to walk at all once at the start, but the start is a couple of minutes from the lorry park. I think it took me about 30 mins at most, cutting corners.

Good luck. (apologise for spelling, no spell check on this comp!)
