Although we're not winning any prizes at PN, I do feel that we could handle a Novice.... mare's got plenty of scope to handle the SJ and XC..

Is it a good 1st timer? Is the SJ up to height, and does anyone have any pictures? It would also be great if the course was fairly flat, so she doesnt get too knackered on the hills

Haven't been for a couple of years, but was regarded as a good first-timers course. SJ on a bit of a slope so you need to be able to stay balanced. XC not hilly (slight inclines), couple of rider-frighteners - an unfinished bridge thing and a biggish ditch palisade - and the water was quite strong, decent log to decent drop in. Nothing earth-shattering! Perhaps someone else can tell you about last year...
