Not had it but offered it until it wasn't a option due to location of the sarcoid, from what I remember it's about £1000 to £1500 depends on the treatment and your vet/sedation etc
I have seen it work very well on a pony at a local riding school. The pony had had the sarcoids for about a year before they were treated with the BCG injection. Once treated they cleared up quickley. The ones treated with the injection were the flat type ones and they were around her eyes and on her face. I dont know if they have returned but i was still in contact with the pony 6 months after treatment and there was no signes of them coming back them.
It worked for my boy.
He has made a fantastic recovery.
My insurance paid my bill and he had two operations before starting the injections so can't say clearly the cost.
Its the risk of anaphylactic shock that's the worry
There is an article in H&H about some Swedish or Danish people who are researching a natural alternative to the BCG vaccine to inject into the sarcoids, will have to reread as I was a bit dozy at the time
