BD Cancellations?

Just curious; has anyone else had any BD events cancelled in the last week or so? After a continually interrupted season due to injuries, work commitments & exams, I thought Id make a last ditch attempt this week to qualify for the regionals, so I entered 3 shows all at different venues. I found out yesterday that 2 out of the 3 have been cancelled! Im well gutted! Has anyone else had this problem, or am I just suffering from more bad-luck?
 
I have had one cancelled due to possible strangles so have now found an unaffliated comp to go to on sunday and find another BD to go to week after.
 
Phew, I dont feel quite so victimised now; mine were due to the weather though. I think Im going to pretend hes 15hh and go and do some workers tomorrow instead, I fancy a change from dressage anyway

Yes, very well could be, hope the surface hasn't been spread over the surrounding fields - that'd be two problems to deal with: an arena with no surface and a field covered in sand and rubber

Nat, do you know how bad it is? Was planning to go there next month...
 
No I dont but Im about to send off my entry for next month. Think I might phone them before I do. I will let you know what they say when I get round to it.
