BD entries

I'm planning my first foray into the world of affiliated dressage! Ok so it's only open prelim but it will make me feel all big!

Anyway I usually enter unaffiliateds about three weeks before the show date so make sure I get in (some round my way are full very early on). I was thinking of going to Crofton on April 6th, and entries apparently close on March 30th. Is there an "opening" date for entries? Even if not specific, just a generally accepted date? How early do all you BDers enter?
I want to get this all perfect!

Why are you entering the open and not the restricted class..are you above group 8 or 7 rider list......Entries open whenever its notnlie BE a set time, so if organised then sent when you like. Good luck

No, there is an opening date. Something like for competitions in the first half of the month(before 16th), the entries open on the 1st of the previous month. For competitions in the second half of the month entries open on the 16th of the previous month...or something like that! x

Ah excellent cheers - so I'll wait and see how we do in our first (unaff) long arena test on the 10th, and if we don't fluff that up I'll enter the long arena test at Crofton BD after that! I like having things planned well in advance!

If you are not a member of BD you are permitted to compete at prelim as an open rider. The restricted section is only for members who are eligible.
