BD membership question

thinking about joining BD for something to do over the winter (eventing is my true love!). I'm being thick and I don't understand the website. i think I need to pay £60 to join myself, then do I have to pay to register the horse as well? Also I'll have to join as a Group 6 person-is it more expensive the higher up you are?

PS I live in dorset- my nearest venues are kingston Maurward and moreton, are there any others nearby?

Why will you have to join as a group 6 rider?

Not more expensive the higher up .If you want to do above prelim .the horse will have to be registered.

I live in Dorset too and mainly go to Kingston Maurward and Moreton. They also run it at Half Moon Stud near Shaftesbury but other than that you would have to go to Sparsholt, Equi sense, or Bicton. Where in DOrset are you?

Other venues include medstead though thats a bit further, crofton manor, quob stables, wellington, vectis, maybe the hand though thats about 2hrs

yes you have to pay for horse and rider, its about 60.00 for the rider and 50 for the horse, thats a rough guide, and dont forget the number badge if you havent got one.

I think you may be able to be group 8 as your eventing points at intermed were quite a long time ago but i dont have my rule book on me to check what the time scales are.
You do have to pay for you and the horse and its is only more expensive for the horses at higher levels and that wont effect you yet

I think you may be ok if the points are before April 1994, otherwise you are going to have to be grade 6.
