First test on the 27th, i know its MEGA easy...
but its in that 60x20 arena, and im usually in a 20x40...so i have a few questions anyway.

1) At the start of the test, what am i allowed to do in the arena until the bell rings? (dont have to salute in this obviously)

2) theres a part that says "From S,half circle right 15meters,return to the track at V"
so,am i meant to change my diagonal at X..or at V?
i know its a really stupid question, but i just dont want to lose marks haha

Re what you can do in the arena - ask on the day - if it's unaffiliated you can never tell what 'local conditions' may apply!!!

Re changing the diagonal I would change after you cross the centre line on the way to V.

Good luck.

You can change your diagonal whenever you like. You could even carry on without changing and you should not get marked down if the judge knows what they are doing!! The various schools of dressage can't all actually agree which is the correct diagonal anyway and it is not something any judge should be deducting marks for.

Correct, but I've recently seen a sheet marked by a list 4 judge which basically said that a mark had been deducted from the riders mark in the collective for 'inconsistant diagonals', so I tend to think that until the various schools do all start singing from the same hymm sheet you aren't going to lose FOR doing it.......
