BD question - the number disc

Grace and I have our first ever BD competition (only Prelim) on 27th May...

Please will someone tell me:

1. What side the disc goes on?
2. How do you fasten it on correctly?
3. Any pictures welcome

I had this experience myself! Got to the show and panicked as I didnt know how to put it on.

1. I had to put it on the right as it wouldnt fit on my bridle on the left. Im not sure if that is corret though, it just fitted better that way.

2. Just slide it on, it stays where you put it generally.

3. I fit mine as it was fit on the cob on the front of the BD magazine, there is quite a clear picture of it.

I put mine on the left but I don't think there is a correct size TBH.

Yes on throat lash usually on left hand side

I presume you fasten it above the buckle then???

You can put them on either side but most people put them on the near side.
The important thing is to let the writer see it.

The come in different types so fsaten in different ways. The most common snap around the throat lash. Others often have elastic and hook and eye fastening which you can do up around the throat lash or cheek piece.

I think ideally you put it above the buckle on the throatlash, but on my bridle there wasnt space so I put it on the right.

I put mine on the left and buckle the throatlash through it - exactly like Bananaman's picture shows!

My disc has hooks so i just hook it around the throat lash and i put it on the right side. I hope that helps.

Mine is the one you get from BD...

I got that one 2 and managed to sqeeze it on the left side over the buckle etc

Well I can cope with the bridle number but i still cant tie a stock!!!! (idiots guide would be very much appreciated!)

Mine is one you just slip onto the throat lash and then do the throat lash up - it stays in place as the buckle from the throat lash stops it from moving.

I always put mine on the right, opposite side to the buckle. It never occured to me to put it over the buckle

I have one that just clips on although I could do with another as mine broke last weekend.

Glad I'm not the only one - I have to get my friend to do it for me
