BD regionals - can I just check....

It's my first BD season (at prelim) so I just wanted to check with you seasoned campaigners that I've understood the qualification rules correctly....

I've been entering the silver section and currently have 15 points from qualifiers and have entered another 4 SQ tests before 19 June. So if I get another 66+ score I think that will send me to the regionals.... Is that right?

If I do make it, will I get something from BD automatically to say so and how do you enter for the regionals?

Just after a bit of reassurance that I'm not heading down the wrong path.

Not sure how many points you need for Prelim, but can confirm you will get an email from BD to confirm you have qualified after the deadline for qualification (usually a but of a delay) and they will give you details of how to enter regionals (basically a special entry form, a biography form).
 
You need 20 points at Prelim, and all of these have to be from qualifiers where you have scored 66%+. So as long as all 15 points have been from over 66%, you need to get either 68% in one test (so you get 5 more points) or two tests at 66%.

It's my first year trying to qualify as well so I assume dressage_diva is right on the emails! I'll be frantically checking for mine too ;)

You'll get an email :) they don't come out as soon as you have the points though. They are released apart the end of the qualifying period.

So the last date for qualification is 19th June I believe at my regional is on 16th July so it's quite tight if the email doesn't come straight away.... Do I just enter anyway once I know I have the points?
 
You will get an email notifying you of your qualification and that will have links to the official regionals entry form, biography form etc. Some venues do allow you to enter online but you will need to then forward them your qualification email and completed biography form.
There is no panic as they can't ballot at regionals, and BD are quite prompt with sending out qualification emails. Keep an eye on the BD forum as there will usually be a panicked 'I haven't had my qualification email' thread that gets started, and BD will then say they haven't sent them out yet.. then after a few days people will start to say they have got theirs. They tend to send them out in batches so it might be a day or so after the first people get theirs that you get yours. IF you still haven't had one at that point, then contact BD directly.
