I've just back from competing Grace over at Arkenfield and I was really pleased with her. We only did P17 because I had things to do this afternoon and she has had a week off with her 'mystery' lameness which now seems to have righted itself.

She warmed up quite well although was running through her bridle a little so I made her do lots of transitions until she was listening to my half halts more. We warmed up inside and the test was outdoors in the long arena. There were flower pots all around the boards which she had a real look at, but never actually spooked at them which was good.

She did a decent test, nothing exceptional, but nice and safe with mostly 7s, three 6s and a five because she hollowed into one of her canter transitions as I didn't prepare her early enough and she ran into it.

She came out with 4th place and 65.4% (the winner was on a whopping 74.4%)... I was pleased with her, but I do feel as though I have hit a plateau of 4th place and 65% in her Prelims. But she has only been out competing BD since May (and only 4 unaffils before that) so I know I am being very silly indeed

There was a photographer there and he took some lovely shots of her. There were about four that I would have bought, but settled for this one in the end because I think it shows what she could produce if I work a bit harder with her...

Excellent - she's really start to mature now sin't she? Very, very different shape to when you very first bought her.

Thank you... I don't really see a change in her as I see her every day, but just found this pic from November 2006 when I had just started riding her rather than lunging then riding (her owner at the time took it):
