BD section help please - silver or gold?

Still relatively new to BD so i’m possibly overthinking this...

I’ve been competing at Elementary silver but now that we’re moving up to Medium I’m wondering if we should be switching over to Elementary gold as we have a bit more experience at that level?

Or should I stick to silver until I’m out of that section?

At this point I’m not too fussed about areas/regionals - it would be nice if we qualified but that’s not my main aim for this year.

It's your choice - there's nothing to suggest you need to go into gold at all and in your shoes I'd stay in Ele silver until you get pushed out.

That said, *if* you want to go to regionals and can get the higher qualifying scores that you need, you actually stand a better chance of a placing and qualification in gold, classes have been much much smaller and the qualifying ratios are higher in gold.

Of course there are no gold area festivals and some other champs - if you're eligible - are only applicable to bronze and silver riders.
