Well a you know weds trip out was terrible and Gen has been having some real issues.

Today we went to Lime Tree, which we have never been to before so expected Gen to be very spooky. He wasnt. He was lovely and chilled (well mostly).

Test 1 was Elem 43. Mike didnt push it - all we wanted was for Gen not to get stressed. This meant the medium work was pretty much non-existant and the collection was not 'true'. Got 59% which was fair and had some good critisicm/comments. However Gen stayed relaxed so very very pleased.

Test 2 was Elem 58. Had we bothered to look at this before entering I dont think we would have bothered. Gen hasnt actually done pirouettes lol and the rest of the Test is pretty hard (I think its the hardest Elem).

Well he did a LOVELY test. Yes there were mistakes (one pir. was rather large and medium canter was poor as was his rein back) but again Gen remained relaxed. However he got a good few 7's and a couple of 8's.

Lovely comments from the Judge again and good critisicm and ended up with 62.4% and got a 5th rossie.

Lime Tree was a nice place, a bit spooky but quiet and relaxed and well organised. Think we may go there again.

All in all was VERY pleased. Now just need to work out how to keep Gen calmer and not get up tight and I am sure he will improve no end.

WOW!! Sounds like a great tonic following your not so great time!!

You are very brave attempting that test even though you knew you weren't 100% ready. Well done you

Brill!! There you go!!Excellent results!! Hope to see you soon out and about! I have qualified for Novice, am doing AF at Eleme. but just training at the mo... it is a huge leap so well done to you all todayE58 is not an easy one. ..prob the most difficult and to get 7 and 8 you should be well pleased!! I am pleased for you!!

Thanks everyone. Certainly made us all feel a bit better. Gen has a Bowen treatment tomorrow and a couple of days off now to chill out.

We are going to take things really slowly and just work on keeping him happy. The higher marks can come later. He is after all only just turned 7.

Freestyler - thats excellent about the Novice. Was thinking of doing the AF Elem but we have decided for now to leave anything that might put Gen under any more pressure. Let me know what Regional you are going to as we may have to come and cheer the red-hair on.

Ha! Thanks! It will be the College, I liked it there last year and it is not too far to travel.. so hopefully see you there!
