Hi all
Yesterdays lesson in prep did not go to plan, a digger had been left by the school and madam Saf refused to go anywhere near the school and ended up sitting on the electric fence getting one hell of a zap and galloped off with me to the field, backwards into and out of a ditch and again onto the electric fence and another gallop followed by having to have a lead from Elles and her boy to get into the school, needless to say the lesson was spolit by her fearing the digger may bite
Oh and could not get out of the school at the end of the lesson
Anyway onto today and first test Nov 32, the warm up was a little wet but I felt we warmed up better than we have for some although was still struggling with the left rein when we went in as I was fixing my hand and not using my leg enough, all me
Came out knowing it was a fair test but the more BD I have started to do the more critical of myself I am being
Is this normal
Well was so happy to see we had 63.48% and 3rd place.
Right back at the lorry I changed bridles for our first ever BD Elem test no 44 and felt right sick, thanks to D who kept me calm and told me to use more leg in the next test and helped me warm up and made me do lots of shoulder in to get my legs working
I do know what they are for honest
In we went and other than over cooking the second medium trot and breaking and also breaking in one of the canters on the corner I was very pleased with how it went.
Even more so when I went to the board and Saf scored 66% in our first Elem and a 4th place WOW what a day and some lovely comments on the test sheet too with a 7, 7, 6, 7 at the bottom
So our Elem debute was a good one and have 6 points from today, once again thank you to Elles and D and of course my girl Saf
We have a yard outing tomorrow for the Unafil at Merrist will be there all day and having a crack at E50
Thanks for reading
