Flebridge showground if u/a. Not a huge turnout but on a surface. There is also one in Horley with Horley RC I beleive and that is very low key though on grass. These are where I started my mare off last year.
I took my horse to Felbridge for her first outing. It is very low key and quiet - be warned if your horse doesn't like boggy ground/puddles - don't go if it's been raining though as the outdoor school was quite boggy. There was a puddle at B which she wouldn't go through!
I've got Stilebridge lined up for her 2nd outing as long as they don't have mirrors in the school! I've been told they were only in the warm up arena and have now gone anyway but if anyone can confirm that ...?!
Thanks guys, better getting looking at what they have where and when! I ideally want to take him straight out affiliated as we have done a few unaffiliated prelims and novices at shows held at home (my old yard). He is'nt spooky as such, just does'nt like anything that flaps which counts out places like Oldencraig for the moment. Big indoors should'nt be a problem as he has been indoors a lot

to be honest my horse is very spooky and wasnt too bad with the flags at all !!
He is mega panicy with things like that and probably would lose the plot, he is getting better but don't want to jump in at the deep end just yet (or throw CobDonkey in as the case may be!!)
merrist wood has quite a bland indoor arena - few mirrors at one end and raised gallery on one side, but otherwise pretty bland. outdoor warm-up can get fairly busy though as they run 2 tests at once in the indoor, so possibly not the best for a baby with concentration issues. i also like frensham, but they use their outdoor at this time of year.
Merrist Wood but not till sept now as closed for the summer, dam.
I have just got my BD stuff through today so going to look through the schedules tonight, should see you out as local
