Be Aware in Cornwall

Not to alarm, but just to suggest people within an approx 50 mile radius of Redruth should be on extra alert for the next few weeks.
The infamous Joe Moyle (Dec'd) Sale is due soon and, as usual, thefts are occuring in the area. Last night the yard opposite us was burgled. The thieves took all the rugs but strangely, nothing else. They did however take the headcollars, which were found in the fields with horses. We suspect that they may have been trying to take the rugs off the horses that were wearing them. The horses were found this morning in the wrong fields.
Please be aware.

But then my pony used to be kept on the lane where the sale takes place every year, and he lived on the next yard over from the lane too and I never got any problems.

Thanks for that though, I'll spread the word, I spose theres a lot
more shallow scum bags around now then there was 7 years ago.

How would you explain this happening every year at the same time as the sale? Most people are honest, but not all.
The sale is not to blame itself, just a few of the vendors, or maybe just a yearly coincidence.
