Sorry if I'm just being a bit dumb but I can't get my head around the BE Day Passes.
Could someone please help explain to me what I need to enter one BE80 in October? I am not currently a member of BE. My horse is registered with them but under the old owner.

It looked like I could just get a Day Pass for £16. Then it said I could get a day pass if I was already a member?? Surely this defeats the object of the day pass?!

From BE website: "For BE80(T) classes, you will only need a Horse Day Pass for each competition you do, which means that you can compete at BE80(T) level as many times as you’d like in one season on a Day Pass Membership. "

Then: "Before you can purchase Day Passes, you must: Have a Day Pass, Supporter or Full Membership." - EH??? Before you can buy a day pass you must have a day pass?!

Then: "A Horse Day Pass costs £16 and a Rider Day Pass costs £16, but if you purchase them both online in the same transaction, you will pay a reduced rate of £25 instead of £32. If are not a current member of BE, you will first need to purchase a membership HERE. " - So to buy a pass I need membership, but doesn't membership already give me passes to enter?

Sorry I'm really confused, please could someone dumb it down for me :(

You will need a day pass membership, £15, plus a horse day pass for each event you enter, I wish they would stop changing everything, it is so complicated and could be more simple if they just had one entry fee that covered it all at the first level 80t which is what they did at one time.

Ahhh, I think I've got it. Confusing as they have a Day Pass "Membership" and then you buy a Day Pass (for £16). They could have given them different names!! It's made it even more confusing as I'm looking to enter my daughter who's under 18, so I need an account, non paying, and then authorise her and then set her up an account! My head hurts.... and then we'll probably just get balloted out!!

BE website is a car crash. But basically what BP said! As for enrolling your daughter - that is even more complicated. After you are a member you need to pre-authorise her. To do that you need to click on some totally counter intuitive button under My BE like Entries Agent or something. And then you have to enter most events via BWDP which seems bonkers too.

I had the same level of confusion when I was trying to do an entry a couple of weeks ago.
They could save themselves pages of confusing waffle with a nice table showing what you need for a specific type of entry

Oh and when you have purchased everything you need to allow time for it to carry over to bdwp
