Quicky question!

I can't find reference in the rule book, but is there any regulation on glove colour for the dressage phase of lower level eventing, can I wear brown with my tweed or should it be light colours ( is it "strongly preferred" as per BD?)

Cheers!

I have both BE and BD rulebooks in front of me (I wonder why?!)

Rules for eventing
6.1.1 'The Dressage phase is governed by the rules of British Dressage, except as specifically provided in this chapter, and by the general provisions of the BE Rules.'
7.13.4 - BE80, BE90, BE100 and BE100 Plus
-Protective Headwear, black or dark blue in colour
-Then as for 7.13.3
7.13.3
-Riding hat or Protective Headwear, black or dark blue in colour
-Black or dark blue coat with whitestock/tie OR tweed coat with coloured stock or tie
-Gloves
-Plain black boots or topped boots or full grain smooth black leather gaiters with matching boots, with buff or brown breeches
Alternatively, uniform
(As I know you are not under 16 I won't repeat those rules ;) )

BD Rules
50. Gloves.
Must be worn. White, beige ir cream gloves are strongly preferred.

SO. No colour stipulated but following BD rules would be light colour preferred. HOWEVER BE dress rules are in a seperate chapter to the rule stating to follow BD rules so may be considered seperately.

;)

(Yes, I am slightly insane at the moment - 3BH understands why!!)

Thanks Ruth. (Can you remind me what day my lesson is this week, whilst I've got you captive?!)

Any colour but obviously that would be black, brown or pale. Bright colours would not be acceptable.
