Just a quick question. I am looking at entering a BE event for the first time. On the entries page it says about a ballet date is this the last date the entry can be made without paying the late surcharge?

The ballot date is the date you need to get in by to ensure you have every chance of the entry being accepted in the event of over subscription, there will be a surcharge date a week or two later, it should be clearly given on the schedule.

Ballot date is the date they ballot, and if you know a way out that you're going to withdraw you're better off withdrawing before the ballot date. Late entry surcharge applies after the late entry surcharge date - listed on BE but not always obvious to see on the details on BDWP :)

Good luck, you'll love it, but yes the entries process isn't the most obvious!!

Thanks for your help. I was only looking at the page of fixtures rather than clicking on it and looking at the schedule! Oops
