Opened my mail this morning to find a letter from BE telling me that D & I qualified for the IRF at Hendersyde at Auchinleck.

Good Stuff, but that means I qualified a year ago & My letter is dated 16/7/07. That gives me until next Wednesday to get my entry in! Not exactly much warning, is this normal.

Also Noodlejaffa, sorry I know I've asked before, but what's the IRF course at H like?

Anyway off to call BE & double check we are qualified!

Thanks, It will mean him running for the next 3 weekends in a row though. Darn it, a bit of notice would've been nice!

What's the ground like there?

Usually nice. Given that we've been flooded the last three weeks, don't reckon it's going to be very hard!

I'm not doing Strathallan as didn't want baby horse to do three weeks in a row. Will probably take him to Tullibardine instead later on.

Was possibly going to do that one too, funds permitting, I don't get how it's different from Strathallan though?

He should be fine as long as the ground is not hard.

I got a letter for the PN RF too at Henderyside. Bit bloody late like you say! I qualified last year too. Not going, too damn far away - I think these should always be held in the MIDDLE of Scotland somewhere, not the damn Borders!!

Quick question - why is the second Scone (ie. the one next month) referred to as Tullibardine?? Is this because they're sponsoring it or something? We're entered so hoping weather is nice for a change!

Er-hem! Us folk in the Borders still manage to travel up north for Burgie, Aswanley, etc without complaint....

I thought it was the second Strathallan that was referred to as Tullibardine. Is the 2nd Scone not just Central again?

My friend qualified at Hopetoun last year for the same IRF this year but has received an email & 2 letters informing her she qualified since the start of the season! Most bizzare.

Second Strathallan is Tullibardine. Second Scone is Central Horse Trials as normal.

Off to through a tantrum about Auchinleck!! Can't believe another thing has been cancelled because of the darn weather.
