Following on from the worries about the new FEI rules on bitting for dressage - this reply from BE...

"BE have not made any changes to bit rules for 2015, so straight bar snaffles will still be permitted for use in BE competitions."

That's great news. I just posted elsewhere that there is now an almost complete match to the German rule book. BE need to think about how these decisions have come about before adopting such hastily changed rules. Here's the German rule book site, the images look almost like they've come from a product catalogue! they are not like the FEI type sketches.

Thank heavens for that! Let's hope they don't sneak the changes in for 2016...
