BE Oasby - impending ballot!

I have two entries in for Oasby - L in the Novice (with Oct ballot sticker) and M in the PN (with super ballot sticker).

Yesterday I got a text to say that they were running a Novice and an Intro on the Friday - would I be prepared to switch. Called back and left a polite message explaining that I had a PN horse too and couldn't run them on seperate days (Oasby is quite a long way for us).

Today I got a call - same question. I phoned back with same explaination and spoke to a nice girl who told me that they would be 'balloting heavily'.

Got a feeling I will be out when the ballot list comes up. Very frustrating (not the organisers fault - they are doing their best). I really want to get a run (hence use of stickers!) but not quite badly enough to do the trip twice in a weekend (especially with fuel prices as they are!.

Has anyone else had a text and / or a call?
 
We are entered on a horse day ticket with registered rider !!! O No! can't go on the Friday... so looks like we will def get balloted out.
Will be so upset... as we really need a BE confidence run for rider and mother!!!
But... no we haven't had a phone call yet....
Have that sinking feeling

I'm terrified I won't get in, entered the Intro with an Oct. ballot sticker but entered online which I haven't done before so not even sure I filled everything in properly!! I got a text as well but can't really swap to the friday cos ive got lectures at uni :S Really hope we find out soon though, I hate waiting. Also was thinking if I get balloted do you think I could then get the time off uni and offer to ride friday or do you think thats cheeky and it'll be too late?
 
Well i've entered the PN, horse AND rider on tickets, so we will deffo be out! Apparently despite the third day they are having to ballot loads. No point really bothering with anything else this year, if we're balloted from oasby we will have been balloted from three events in three weekends, season over!
 
crackersluvrat - uni's are often very good when you explain its a sporting competition. I get the week off classes for Festival of Champions.
 
My Dad is controlling on Fri and commentating on Sat and i still got asked to move ours and then told if not it would most prob be ballot!! In the end we've moved 5 novices to Friday so if they ballot our day ticket PN on Sat i'll not be impressed!!!

I think those who swap should get a free start fee!
 
If you do get balloted from oasby, Aston le Walls are running another UA on the sunday,and still taking entries.They have pre-intro,intro and pre nov.Exactly the same set up as their BE events,except no registrations reqd, and good prize money! Last time it was £100 each section,plus other goodies to tenth.Don't know what this is,but schedule's on website. Good Luck.
