How many events will you aim to do per horse this season? Or perhaps a better question would be... if you were financially able, how many events could your horse cope with per season?

I would like to do 10-12 ideally, thats with a youngster at novice/going intermediate who would benefit from running quite regularly.
My older horse only really needed 6 events and a 3-day in an ideal world.

Agree 10-12 seems ideal for PN / N. Slightly less as you introduce 3 day events.

10-12 sounds good should we say if the main part of ur season doesnt get rained off!!!!

Have a possible 13, aiming to run at 10 as said above. Generally have July and first part of August off, so aim for 2 runs a month.

I aim for between 10-13 or so, depending on goals, horse etc.

at PN/N, 10-12 is about right. i wouldn't do many more even if money was no object, unless it was with an older horse of about 7 or 8 who could stand the mileage a bit more.
fewer once higher up the grades, usually 3 or 4 one days, then a 3 day, it used to be. but now with CICs etc, it would vary.
