As I was on my way home from dog training last night (8pm) I saw 2 riders. One had HiViz on and was on the inside an the rider on the outside had dark clothing. It was so hard to see the outside rider so I stopped and spoke to them. They were very nice and I think realised and the HiViz rider moved to be on the outside.
I do hope they didn't mind me speaking to them.
It really brought it home to me as both a rider and a car driver, just how difficult it is to see riders without the HiViz.
Please all of you be careful now the nights are drawing in.

Yup :)

Some folks will be 'tired' of reading these types of threads, but one would hope that they will just pass it by if they have nothing useful to add

D1 will be riding the Dizz (and anything else she hops on) with the high viz tabard and the high viz exercise sheet as a minimum (sometimes forgets the leg wraps - I'll have to stick them to Dizz's boots!).

I've nearly hit two riders - they just blended into the wall and trees behind them :(. Luckily I was doing about two miles per hour and stopped okay, but it scared me and now I'm paranoid :(

Well done on speaking to them and good that they at least appeared to take it on board.
