Quick question - my horse pulled a muscle in his bottom 7 weeks ago - poor boy! It was very slight but we did 6 weeks very light exercise and he came fine 2 weeks ago. So upped the work this week, longer trots, some hills and prob start v light cantering next week if all ok.

I'm toying with idea of registering to BE this season as did few day tickets last season and was such fun - first event at Ebbesbourne Wake is in 5 weeks time which would love to aim for all being well - do you think this is to soon? what would anyone plan to do with their horse after similar injury?

He's on fine form now it seems and getting bored!

I'd run it past the vet/physio that saw and treated it to begin with and go with what they say. From the way my own muscles feel sometimes I think they can feel better, and then you go and do something and you realise it wasn't really! So I'd go with expert opinion on this....

good point thank you! could maintain work level for next 2 weeks and then get vet to re-examine, she saw him recently and said to up work then.
