I'm want to enter a BE80 in April on a training pass and I know I need to send of a copy of the passport to BE, however my horses passport doesn't have her name in it, does this matter or will I need to send it back to IHR to get it registered first? Although this could take a while and entries open in 12 days!

Frustrating, however afaik your horses passport will need her name on it.

Could you ring them and pay extra for a 24 hour service?

Good Luck

I've just had to do this. Sent off passport to BE and got an email saying horse doesn't have a registered name, which I hadn't even realised. Serves me right for not reading the passport properly or checking things. So had to name him today, send off passport which IHB say will take 7-10 days to come back. I can then email scanned copies to BE and hopefully get my entry in before the ballot date.... eek. TBF, when I changed the ownership details after buying him, passport was returned within about 4 working days.

So yes, she needs to have a registered name!

We had to send daughters pony passport back to Ireland last year for similar reasons and they were very quick turned it around within the week! Very impressed!
