My baby's just about to do his 4th BE Intro and has been placed in two out of the three he's done so far. Looking for a couple more runs before the end of the season and wondered whether it's worth trying him Pre-Novice at Witton Castle.

Does anyone know what the PN course is like here?

Well, it was my home competition for quite a few years. I havent jumped the PN track for a little while, but I walked it in the spring. Its quite a hilly course, you meander downhill to the lake over quite a few drop fences, there is then a nice gallop on flat old pasture for probably half the total distance, then a longish gallop back up to the start/finish. The fences are well built but didnt strike me as particularly big. There is quite good variety of fences as another poster mentioned. The pimple that Witton was well known for has gone now, but there is still the 1 stride uphill road crossing. Id say a course that suits a bold, fit horse best, but isn't undoable for a first time PN .
