BE100s

Aiming for my first BE100 in april, very excited! Though xc is not a problem (within reason) I am still quite nervous about the bigger showjumping! Going to try to get lots of practice in of course, but what venue would you recommend? Bovington I know has a nice xc track for the first timers but is there sj known for being up to height/difficult? Based in the south west so don't want to travel for hours! Any suggestions?

I would recommend Bovington as a good first event at all levels, the sj can look a bit tight in the arena but usually seems to ride well enough. Bicton would be stiffer xc, West Buckland is fair and could be a good first one if you are not ready for Bovington. They run arena eventing at Bovington, which if it is not too far, would give you a feel for the place.

Larkhill is nice, West Wilts are usually straightforward

Thank you both of you! Will take a look at the course photos and then hopefully will try the BE at Bovington, will see if I can fit a pre-BE event in!
