I've owned Solo for over a year and at home jump a metre confidently. We've been xc schooling twice and jumped the 80 - 1m, and done a ODE at 70cm and he loved it. I'm doing another unaff ODE in September at 80 to try then I'm hoping I can go to Broadway to do the 80. I looked at the jumps and the one I think will cause a problem is a hay cart as its bright. I really want to do it but don't know if it will be to hard for us. I hope you don't mind me asking on here, but has anyone done Broadway is it good for our first try?

Never done Broadway, but all 80 courses are built to be encouraging and I think you will find that once you are out on the course and going it will be no problem.

Just try not to focus on that particular fence - completely normal, we all do it! My advice would be that any fence you are a bit worried about to get your canter, get your line and then look over and beyond the fence and don't stop kicking until you are the other side. Hay cart usually ride well as at the lower levels they will always have a really good ground line.

You sound more than ready, will be looking forward to reading your report and good luck :)
